THAI-BURMA BORDER The border with Thailand and Burma is the scene of frequent instability on both sides. Life for the people that live near the border, especially for those living in Burma, is difficult and unpredictable. Many minority groups and rebel armies of these minorities live a life of uncertainty, faced by hostility both from the Burmese military and the Thai military, who are desperate to keep these problems from crossing to Thai soil. Life for these people is a struggle involving poverty, homelessness, prostitution, sickness and lack of medical treatment, aggression from military groups, and generally a loss of stability. These photographs are part of a larger project that is a record of life on and around the border and the issues surrounding it.
